{Bone Test}

We have been learning about and studying the different bones in our bodies. This week we tested the knowledge of the bones. Those students who got a 100% received their very own skeleton. Congratulations to those students. Keep studying if you didn't get 100%, and we will retest soon.

{Time}

This week we did a review over telling time. We have been working on time to the hour, quarter hour, half hour, and to the minute. If you have a non- digital clock in your home, test your child on their time knowledge. We reviewed over what we had learned with a Time game, I have ___ Who Has ___. One child starts with a clock and reads the time, and at the bottom of the card it asks for the next time. The kids loved looking through their cards, hoping they could get rid of all of theirs first.

Q-Tip Skeletons

Connecting both our Bone Unit in health and Halloween, for fun Friday last week we made skeletons out of q-tips. They are proudly hanging out in the hallway for the school to see. The kids did a great job of creativly putting and gluing their skeletons together. Enjoy!

{October Book Report and Reading Calendar!}

A quick reminder that the skeleton book reports for October are due on Thursday. On Monday, please send your child's READING CALENDAR to school filled out. Please make sure you send your things in on time, because homework club movie will be held on Monday.

{Halloween Parade, Party and Guidelines}

We will be having our school Halloween Parade at 12:30. Our class party will start as soon as the parade finishes. (Around 1:00-1:15)

Friday we will be having our Halloween Celebration at school. We ask that students bring their costumes rather than wear them to school. After lunch students will be allowed to dress in their costumes for the parade. In going along with school policies, students may not bring weapons or facsimiles of weapons to school, including swords, knives, guns, etc.

Students need to follow school dress standards: shoulders need to be covered, costumes need to go to the knee, and hair may not be dyed wild colors. Your student may wear a little face paint or make-up, but please keep it minimal during the day and have it applied before coming to school. Students may not wear masks (anything that covers their eyes and/or mouths).

{A Big Thank You!}
